Dede Ayew Absent on Wednesday training due to injury

Ghana captain Andre Ayew was not present at the team’s second training preparation today ahead of the fridays match against Gabon.

The Black Star Skipper Andre Dede Ayew absences was due to a head injury after crashing with the Morocco defender in the latter stages of the game on Monday.

He was part of Tuesday's recovery training at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo Annexe but has been excluded from Wednesday's training today.

The Team doctor assured reporters at yesterday's training session that, Dede Ayew will be present at the second group game despites the injury.

Black Stars will be playing against Gabon at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé on Friday 14 January 2022 in the next round.

Ghana needs a win against Gabon (Panthers) to recover from the opening day loss to Morocco so as to rekindle the hopes of advancing to the next stage of the tournament.
